Our Principal and Staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our Principal
Welcome to Newport Public School – a place where together we CARE, we learn and we shine.
Nestled between Pittwater and the ocean, Newport is a bright, warm and inclusive community where students, staff and families work as one. We believe every child can succeed, and we hold high expectations for learning, wellbeing and personal growth.
Our culture is built on a shared belief that everyone, students, staff and families, bring unique strengths and perspectives. We celebrate our differences and recognise our shared need for belonging, achievement, choice and joy. Strong relationships grounded in trust and respect, guide everything we do and reflect our collective commitment to what is best for our students.
Student learning and wellbeing sit at the heart of our school. Our dedicated staff bring expertise, enthusiasm and care to every classroom, supported by a culture of teamwork, professional growth and attention to staff wellbeing. Together with our families, P&C and community partners, we create a safe, supportive and inspiring environment where children thrive.
We are proud to offer a well-rounded education that balances academic excellence with the arts, sport, leadership, creativity, service and memory-making. Students grow through rich opportunities including music, dance, sport, debating, public speaking and programs that nurture inclusion, resilience and responsibility. Whether needing support or extension, every learner has pathways to discover their strengths and shine.
We understand that life brings ups and downs, and we grow through these moments together. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and in our village we aim to nurture strong, smart, kind and independent young people—confident, capable and ready to make a positive difference to their own lives and to the lives of those around them.
Together we CARE. Together we learn. Together we shine.
Kind regards,
Natalie Baldi, Principal of Newport Public School
